The Cedar Hill Independent School District Athletic Program is committed to excellence in academics and athletics. We are dedicated to Pursuing Victory with Honor, to adhering to the rules of competition and sportsmanship, producing champions in sports and in life, and to displaying the Six Pillars of Character (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship) on and off the field.
Along with the six pillars of character, the athletic department has adopted five core values: CHARACTER, LEADERSHIP, COMMITMENT, FAMILY and PROFESSIONALISM.
Cedar Hill High School offers a total of 20 sports for students in grades 9-12. There are 10 boys sports and 10 girls sports and currently over 900 students participants on these freshman, junior varsity or varsity Longhorns and Lady Longhorn athletic teams:
Spring Sports: Softball, Baseball, Boys Track and Girls Track, Boy's Powerlifting, and Girl's Powerlifting.
Sports with Fall and Spring Seasons: Tennis, Swimming and Golf
Our two middle schools offer 6 sports for girls and 6 sports for boys in 7th-8th grades: Football, Cross Country, Volleyball, Golf, Tennis, Basketball, and Track. There were over 425 Permenter Middle School and 241 Bessie Coleman Middle School students that participated in athletics this year.
